    • Identifying and managing potential health and safety risks associated with our events and services
    • Providing appropriate training, guidance, and support to our members, employees, and volunteers to promote health and safety awareness
    • Complying with all relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines

Responsibilities

Everyone involved with Six Degrees has a responsibility to contribute to a safe and healthy environment. Specifically:

  • Anyone who witnesses or becomes aware of a health or safety concern should report it to the CEO, Sarah Jepson.

Risk Assessments

We will carry out regular risk assessments for our in-person events and activities to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures to minimise risks. These assessments will be reviewed and updated as needed, or in response to any changes in our operations or legal requirements.

Online Safety

For our online events and activities, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the safety and well-being of our members and participants, including:

  • Providing guidance on the responsible use of online platforms and tools
  • Implementing appropriate privacy settings and access controls for our online events and community portal
  • Encouraging members to report any online safety concerns or incidents to [Your Organization’s designated contact person or reporting procedure]

Training and Support

We will provide appropriate training and guidance to our employees, volunteers, and members to ensure they understand their health and safety responsibilities and are able to contribute to a safe and healthy environment.

Emergency Procedures

We will establish and communicate clear emergency procedures for our in-person events and activities, including evacuations, first aid, and incident reporting.

Monitoring and Review

This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure its continued effectiveness and compliance with relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines. We will monitor our activities and services to identify any areas for improvement and take action as needed.
